How is my Data Secured?
There is a secure certificate, you can use the OfficeZilla system with 1024 SSL Security.
No one other then those you invite and give access to can see your data.
OfficeZilla makes regular backups of data and recently aquired all new equipment so your
data is stored on state-of-the-art servers.
OfficeZilla moved in January 08 to a colocation center with private rack space and dedicated
10mbps bandwidth.
OfficeZilla does not look at your data. Your data is yours and bears no interest to anyone
else.
OfficeZilla accounts are seperate. No one knows who is using the OfficeZilla system. There
is no public list of users, OfficeZilla never says who is using the system. Only you know
if you are using it or not.
Can any group use this system?
Any group may sign up and use the system. From mainstream groups to the most out-of-mainstream
groups are welcome on the system.
Everyone's account is seperate from each other, no one knows you have signed up except for
who you invite.
What are the long term goals for OfficeZilla?
To create customized systems for particular markets. There are hundreds of millions of
dollars to be made providing targeted platforms with additional features & customized workflows.
We have 50 to 5,000 people in our organization. Can I add them all to OfficeZilla?
Yes and we make it easy for you by offering a signup form you can send out to
your organization and as each person signs up you get an email so you can
approve them to your virtual office.
How long have you been online?
OfficeZilla has been online since 2002.
Why doesn't OfficeZilla have hundreds of thousands of users?
OfficeZilla has a very limited advertising budget.
You say you provide unlimited space for free.
OfficeZilla has to compete against email programs like Yahoo and Google Mail. That is how most people do their
collaboration. The web email systems now have either a huge amount of space to unlimited space. In the past when
I limited space I found that was a turn off to users even when they didn't even use the space available. Could there
be a possibility of charging for space? I don't believe there are enough users on the system to support that business model
plus the users tend to upload images and documents which take up very little space.
Do you have online tutorials?
Do you support any other languages then English?
The system is translated into Dutch, English, Hebrew, Korean, Portuguese, Finnish, French, Spanish, and Italian but could use some work on the translations and adding
new translations.
Can OfficeZilla add additional languages?
Yes, download
this file and a new column with your translation then send back to
translations@officezilla.com. we will work on adding your language to OfficeZilla.
Can I put private data online, is it secure?
Yes your data can only be seen by you and if you add people to your virtual office and share that
data with them they will see it to. You do need to make a backup of all files
uploaded.
We use 1024 bit SSL encryption so your data is secured as you upload and use it through
OfficeZilla.
Can I license the code and host OfficeZilla on my own server?
No, the code behind OfficeZilla has taken years to write and is too valuable to sell.
There is a similar (free) system that you can download at www.phpgroupware.org it runs on Linux/Apache/mySQL and is
open source.
Can I synch the calendar with Outlook?
The calendar is free standing and does not synch up with any other calendars at this time.
Do I get my own @officezilla.com email address?
No, but it does give you the ability to pick up your own non-ssl POP 3 email.
How do I get support?
There is a multimedia administration tutorial, a searchable help feature, pop up help throughout the system, and a help form (the one on this page).
Any relations to fire breathing dinosour type creatures, India's 'Zilla Panchayat', Zilla Plants, or Zilla spiders?
Not in the slightest.
